About the Role
You will own Talos’s largest strategic client accounts across asset managers, hedge funds, brokers, and global banks. You will build account plans, develop relationships with stakeholders and executives, uncover expansion opportunities, translate client needs into product inputs, coordinate internal stakeholders, lead strategic engagements, maintain Salesforce records, and provide competitive intelligence.
Requirements
- 7 or more years of experience in strategic account management, enterprise sales, or client coverage at a market technology vendor, financial institution, or institutional digital asset platform.
- Direct experience working with or selling into asset managers, hedge funds, institutional brokers, or global investment banks.
- Fluency in institutional trading workflows including OMS, EMS, PMS, order management, execution, allocations, settlement, and post-trade processes.
- Ability to navigate complex organizations and build relationships at multiple levels without relying on formal introductions or organizational authority.
- Track record of identifying expansion opportunities within existing accounts and converting them into commercial outcomes.
- High-agency approach with the ability to build internal alignment and drive initiatives to completion.
- Clear executive communication and ability to turn complex workflows or strategic opportunities into evidence-based cases.
- Experience managing strategic relationships at an institutional digital asset firm is highly valued.
- Experience working both inside a financial institution and at a technology vendor is highly valued.
- Understanding of tokenization, digital asset adoption, settlement, custody, and fund operations is highly valued.
- Familiarity with Salesforce is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Own a defined book of strategic accounts across asset managers, hedge funds, institutional and retail brokers, and global banks.
- Build and maintain rolling 12-month account plans covering stakeholders, product footprint, white space, client initiatives, and expansion priorities.
- Anticipate client technology decisions involving OMS evaluations, custody transitions, and settlement or clearing infrastructure upgrades.
- Identify business units preparing to prioritize digital asset initiatives.
- Build relationships across trading, technology, operations, finance, risk, and executive stakeholders.
- Identify and develop executive sponsors in business units without active engagement.
- Run structured discovery engagements and document product opportunities.
- Identify expansion opportunities across product lines, business units, and adjacent workflows.
- Qualify tokenization and digital asset initiatives and build business cases for involvement.
- Prioritize the expansion pipeline and advocate for the most important opportunities.
- Drive net-new opportunities through the commercial process and maintain momentum through closing.
- Translate strategic client requirements into structured product inputs.
- Assess whether client problems reflect account-specific needs or broader market needs.
- Represent client requirements in product discussions with workflow, impact, and competitive-risk detail.
- Align Sales, Business Development, Product, and Executive stakeholders around account opportunities.
- Set agendas for strategic engagements, QBRs, and executive briefings.
- Maintain accurate Salesforce records for contacts, account plans, opportunities, activity, and account health.
- Bring competitive intelligence from client conversations into go-to-market and product strategy.
