About the Role
You will manage the full federal sales lifecycle from opportunity identification through contract award. You will build account plans engage mission and acquisition stakeholders shape requirements navigate procurement pathways develop pipelines lead demonstrations and workshops coordinate internal solution development track market activity maintain forecasts and represent the organization in government and industry settings.
Requirements
- 8+ years selling technology into the US Department of Defense
- Emphasis on net-new business rather than account management or program support
- Demonstrated success selling enterprise SaaS solutions
- Experience selling to military services and Combatant Commands
- Verifiable first-dollar-in wins involving seven-figure or larger opportunities
- Fluency in federal acquisition pathways and teaming strategies
- Working knowledge of color of money and POM timing
- Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
Responsibilities
- Own sales lifecycles from opportunity identification through contract award
- Develop strategic account plans across Department of Defense and Combatant Command accounts
- Build relationships with mission owners acquisition professionals contracting officers and senior stakeholders
- Shape opportunities before formal requirements exist
- Pursue new business and expansion opportunities across organizations and mission areas
- Lead engagements across OTAs CSOs SBIR/STTR IDIQ GWAC consortium and FAR-based procurements
- Collaborate with product engineering growth capture proposal and leadership functions
- Analyze federal budgets funding timelines and procurement pathways
- Lead executive engagements product demonstrations capability briefings and workshops
- Manage qualified pipelines that exceed quota objectives
- Capture customer feedback and market intelligence for product strategy
- Track competition requirements contract vehicles and acquisition trends
- Maintain forecasting opportunity management and CRM reporting
- Represent the organization at industry events government forums and conferences
- Identify opportunities to combine portfolio capabilities
