About the Role

You will be responsible for driving revenue growth across both commercial and public-sector accounts in India. You will acquire new logos, expand existing customer relationships, and manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through negotiation and deal closure. You will navigate complex procurement processes for government and public sector, understand compliance and security needs, and collaborate with internal teams such as pre-sales, partners, marketing, and legal to deliver compelling value to prospects.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4-7 years of experience in enterprise software, cybersecurity, or SaaS sales with a track record of selling into both commercial and public sector in India
  • Strong experience handling government or public sector procurement, tender, and RFP processes
  • Understanding of contracts, regulations, and compliance in the public sector
  • Ability to engage senior stakeholders and C-level decision makers
  • Skilled at value-based selling and consultative approach
  • Good negotiation skills including pricing, contract terms, and service or support agreements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong business acumen and ability to understand customers' pain points
  • Comfortable working with internal teams to manage longer sales cycles
  • Strong organization and time-management skills
  • Experience with sales tools such as CRM (Hubspot preferred), contract management tools, and quoting tools

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory plan covering commercial businesses and public sector organizations to meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets
  • Prospect for new customers in both commercial and public sector, identify decision makers, build networks and relationships, and engage in consultative selling
  • Manage existing account portfolio including upsell, cross-sell, renewal, and expansion of usage
  • Understand customer business, regulatory and security requirements, data-protection and compliance constraints, and configure solution proposals
  • Lead and coordinate internal cross-functional teams to build and deliver proposals, proof-of-concepts, and pilot projects
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms and conditions especially in public procurement and tendering cycles
  • Use CRM to track sales activities, update forecast and pipeline, and report weekly and monthly
  • Collaborate with marketing and partner channels to generate leads, participate in events and webinars, and build partner and reseller relationships
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the competitive landscape, product offerings, and industry trends
  • Travel across India to meet customers, attend government tender or bid meetings, and regional conferences
