About the Role

You'll take ownership of the strategy and end-to-end sales process for a portfolio of 5-10 global accounts while leading a team of Account Executives focused on growing relationships with some of AlphaSense's largest and highest-potential customers. You'll build and align strategy, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and establish executive-level relationships to drive enterprise deployments. As a player-coach, you'll both own and drive the largest enterprise deals yourself and lead the strategy and execution of your team. Expect a high-activity, high-accountability role where you'll run a meaningful volume of outbound touches, cold calls, and proactive prospecting into existing strategic accounts. In your first six months, you'll embed within an existing Pod to learn account planning rhythms and sales velocity before stepping into leading your own Pod.

Requirements

  • Previous experience owning a book of new business, ideally within the Strategic or Major Accounts segment
  • Strong track record of success in a SaaS sales environment leveraging value-based enterprise selling techniques
  • Experience closing multi-million dollar deals
  • Experience co-creating a vision with customers and building plans to drive growth and customer value
  • Comfortable with consistent outbound activity including cold-calling
  • Experience inspiring and leading cross-functional partners
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex business data to non-research audiences

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the strategy and end-to-end sales processes of 5-10 global accounts while leading a team of AEs
  • Create and execute a vision and strategy to expand your book of business by 50%+ year-over-year through upsell, cross-sell, and new product integration
  • Become an industry expert on corporate customer needs, market dynamics, company capabilities, competitive landscape, and product differentiation
  • Execute strategic sales strategies including planning, research, meeting preparation, relationship building, and business case construction
  • Partner with SDR and Marketing teams to create prospecting plans, ABM campaigns, and drive pipeline
  • Forecast accurately and help the team develop pipeline to meet or exceed quota
  • Work closely with Account Management to ensure customer health and identify expansion opportunities
