About the Role
You will lead the global commercial transactions function and oversee attorneys and contract professionals supporting sales, partnerships, and commercial activity. You will negotiate strategic customer and partner agreements, improve contracting operations, advise on risk and regulatory implications, support key business initiatives, and develop a global hybrid team.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor from an accredited U.S. law school or equivalent international qualification
- Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 20+ years of legal experience focused on complex commercial and technology transactions
- Deep understanding of cloud and SaaS contracting, software-to-SaaS agreements, data protection, AI regulatory frameworks, and enterprise sales environments
- Ability to develop, mentor, and lead cross-cultural global hybrid teams
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders in a fast-paced global business
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and drafting skills
- Experience using and implementing GenAI tools at scale
- Experience with contract management tools, playbooks, or scalable contracting frameworks
Responsibilities
- Lead the global commercial transactions function
- Oversee attorneys and contract professionals supporting global sales, partnerships, and commercial activities
- Negotiate high-value, strategic, and complex customer and partner transactions
- Drive improvements to contract processes, templates, playbooks, and deal enablement
- Use metrics to measure productivity and accelerate the sales cycle while managing legal risk
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Customer Experience, Security, Product, Privacy, Regulatory and AI, and Legal Operations teams
- Provide commercial legal support for alliances, channel, system integrator, reseller, and new-market initiatives
- Mentor, coach, and develop a global hybrid team
- Advise on global risk allocation, regulatory implications, and contracting strategy
