About the Role
You will lead strategy, negotiation, and execution for complex commercial agreements. You will develop contracting standards, playbooks, templates, and policies; advise on AI, intellectual property, privacy, security, and regulatory matters; improve legal operations with Ironclad and AI-enabled tools; and provide practical risk guidance across the business.
Requirements
- J.D. and 8+ years of relevant law firm and/or in-house legal experience
- Experience owning complex technology transactions and commercial matters
- Expertise negotiating SaaS, licensing, partnership, and technology agreements
- Understanding of AI-related commercial legal issues, intellectual property, data privacy, and security
- Experience establishing legal contracting standards, playbooks, and scalable operational frameworks
- Experience with Ironclad or a comparable contract lifecycle management platform
- Commercial judgment and ability to communicate practical recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Responsibilities
- Lead strategy, negotiation, and execution for complex commercial agreements
- Develop and evolve negotiation standards, playbooks, templates, and contracting policies
- Advise on AI, machine learning, intellectual property, data privacy, security, and regulatory issues
- Improve contracting workflows, governance, and analytics using Ironclad and AI-enabled tools
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to evaluate risk and resolve complex challenges
- Identify emerging legal and commercial risks and engage outside counsel when needed
