About the Role

Build Built's supply-side partnership function from scratch by developing vendor relationships, commercial frameworks, onboarding processes, and the operating model for a scalable Marketplace network.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in supply-side partnerships, vendor management, procurement, or business development.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, fintech, construction technology, or real estate services is preferred.
  • Proven experience building a partnership program or vendor network from scratch.
  • Deep understanding of marketplace or platform economics, including network effects, take rates, procurement margin, and partner unit economics.
  • Experience negotiating and structuring commercial agreements, including negotiated rates, volume pricing, referral fees, and bespoke pricing.
  • Strong operational skills and ability to build processes, playbooks, and systems.
  • Ability to manage strategic planning, commercial negotiation, and hands-on operational execution.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfort using data and analytics to size opportunities, model economics, and support decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Build the end-to-end partner lifecycle, including sourcing, qualification, contracting, onboarding, performance management, and expansion.
  • Define partner tiers, SLAs, quality standards, onboarding playbooks, performance tracking, and escalation paths.
  • Source, evaluate, negotiate, and close partnerships with vendors across diligence, procurement, and construction-related categories.
  • Run outbound programs across the vendor network and identify opportunities to improve service and pricing.
  • Identify and prioritize new Marketplace service categories using structured commercial and operational analysis.
  • Develop partnership agreement templates and vendor qualification criteria with Legal and Compliance.
  • Work with Product and Engineering to define platform capabilities for a scaled vendor network.
