About the Role
You will be the fund's primary outreach arm in North America, responsible for identifying promising founders, protocols and infrastructure projects before they enter the broader market conversation. This role blends business development, relationship management and investment analysis into a single position that is critical to the fund's growth strategy. You will attend events, conduct cold outreach and build long-term relationships with accelerators, hackathon organizers and developer communities. You'll screen inbound deal flow, maintain the fund's CRM, track emerging Web3 trends, and represent the fund publicly through panels, podcasts and media appearances.
Requirements
- Minimum three years of experience in business development, deal sourcing or venture capital within the blockchain or fintech sector
- Established network of contacts across the North American Web3 ecosystem including founders, VCs, accelerators and developer communities
- Ability to evaluate token economic models, governance frameworks and protocol security at a preliminary level
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and maintain long-term professional relationships
- Willingness to travel extensively across North America for conferences and meetings
- Excellent presentation skills for representing the fund at public and private industry events
- Experience using CRM tools to manage deal pipelines and investor relations
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a systematic deal sourcing strategy for the North American market
- Attend blockchain conferences, hackathons, demo days and meetups across the United States and Canada
- Build and maintain relationships with accelerator programs including Y Combinator, a16z Crypto Startup School, Techstars and others
- Conduct preliminary screening of inbound deal flow including pitch deck review, founder background checks and market analysis
- Organize and host proprietary events to attract top-tier founders and co-investors
- Maintain the fund's CRM with detailed notes on all potential investments, key contacts and follow-up schedules
- Collaborate with the Investment Analyst team to advance promising deals through the due diligence process
- Track emerging trends in Web3 including new consensus mechanisms, zero-knowledge proof applications, RWA tokenization and AI integration
- Represent BIP32 Venture in panel discussions, podcasts and media appearances
