About the Role
You will draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements across North America, advise sales and business development partners, interpret legal and regulatory developments, and manage a team of lawyers and contract managers. You will also develop localized templates, playbooks, and policies.
Requirements
- J.D.
- Active membership in at least one U.S. State Bar
- 8+ years of relevant post qualification legal experience
- In house technology or SaaS experience preferred
- Previous team management experience
- Experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial and technology agreements
- Knowledge of enterprise software licensing SaaS data protection and intellectual property
- Experience advising on privacy cybersecurity and cross border data transfers
- Excellent communication stakeholder management and problem solving skills
- Comfort working in fast paced environments with shifting priorities
Responsibilities
- Draft review and negotiate commercial agreements
- Advise sales business development and operations teams on go to market strategies
- Monitor and interpret legal and regulatory developments
- Manage a team of US lawyers and contract managers
- Develop and maintain regional contract templates playbooks and policies
- Provide practical legal advice to cross functional teams
- Support the scaling of the commercial legal function
