About the Role
You will provide generalist legal counseling across security, compliance, product, and privacy matters. You will handle customer notifications and related legal communications, support compliance efforts, and create the processes, templates, and infrastructure needed for a scaling product-counseling function.
Requirements
- 9+ years of relevant in-house or law firm experience
- JD and membership in at least one US state bar
- Experience across privacy, security, compliance, and product counseling
- Ability to operate as a generalist across legal matters
- Experience in a hyperscaling, fast-moving environment
- Ability to work independently in ambiguity
- Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to streamline workflows and improve efficiency
Responsibilities
- Advise the security team on legal matters
- Handle customer notifications and related customer-facing legal communications
- Support compliance efforts across the organization
- Provide generalist counseling for Product, Security, Privacy, and other functions
- Build foundational processes, templates, and infrastructure for a scaling product counseling function
