About the Role

You'll work in a fast-paced sales environment selling Hootsuite solutions to prospective enterprise customers within landmark industries. This is a full sales cycle role, from opportunity creation through close, and you'll own your own pipeline while generating outbound opportunities with companies that could benefit from Hootsuite as their social media management partner. You'll report to the Manager, Enterprise Sales, and this hybrid role is open to applicants within commuting distance of Toronto or Vancouver.

Requirements

  • Considerable relevant B2B sales experience; experience in software considered an asset
  • Proven ability to achieve or exceed assigned quotas
  • Social listening experience an asset
  • Ability to focus on client business value, return on investment, and customer solutions rather than features-focused selling
  • Demonstrated outbound sales experience including proactive prospecting, cold outreach, and strategic outbound campaigns
  • Skilled in crafting and executing sales plans for assigned territories or verticals
  • Open communication skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

  • Acquire new enterprise sized business customers within landmark industries to achieve individual quota targets
  • Prospect and generate your own outbound leads
  • Navigate sales cycles from value creation to negotiation and closing
  • Present the value of solutions to prospective senior level customers and build trust with C-suite and senior executives
  • Craft and execute a strategy to identify, generate and develop net new sales pipeline and achieve or exceed quota targets
  • Accurately forecast sales activity and revenue attainment
  • Seek out market and industry information to develop rapport with enterprise customers
  • Recommend relevant Hootsuite products and third party partner solutions to solve client business challenges
  • Deliver product presentations and demos to potential customers
  • Complete RFI/RFP and other supplier technical requirement documents
  • Partner with pre and post sales teams to navigate roadblocks and objections
  • Craft and generate expansion strategies for existing customers and introduce team members for cross-sell opportunities
  • Partner with Sales Development Representatives to plan account approaches and build outbound pipelines
  • Manage, track and report sales activities and results through Salesforce, Sales Navigator and 6Sense
  • Travel to see prospects and deliver presentations to stakeholders
  • Facilitate a warm handoff to implementation and customer teams following the close of the initial sale
  • Perform other related duties as required
