About the Role

You will clarify customer project requirements, develop scopes of work, review technical documents, calculate labor and material costs, obtain vendor pricing, prepare quotations, and maintain estimating tools and RFQ documentation for engineered infrastructure projects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Associate degree in a related field with 4+ years of estimating experience, or 5–8 years of direct estimating, costing, and technical-sales experience
Technical knowledge of electrical enclosures, low- and medium-voltage switchboards, and switchgear
Written and verbal technical communication skills
MS Office and Google Workspace proficiency
Experience with data analysis and quoting tools
Ability to manage multiple concurrent project quotes

Responsibilities

Clarify project scope and technical requirements with customers and consultants
Develop written scopes of work and document project exclusions
Review specifications, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and single-line schematics
Develop pricing tools, cost models, and BOM templates
Compile bills of materials and obtain component pricing and lead times
Validate vendor quotes for electrical equipment and modular buildings
Calculate fabrication, painting, assembly, wiring, and engineering labor
Prepare customer quotations and establish pricing markups
Maintain RFQ documentation and improve estimating processes
Provide cost and margin data to leadership
Collaborate with application and design engineers to resolve scope ambiguities
Build and audit pricing tools and estimating standards
