About the Role

The role focuses on business development and sales for CoinDesk’s media and events businesses in EMEA. The successful candidate will manage and expand an existing client base, generate new revenue, represent CoinDesk products, maintain sales systems, gather intelligence, propose product enhancements, and travel for client meetings and conferences.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of media or events sales experience in crypto, global finance, or technology
  • Knowledge of and passion for cryptocurrency and blockchain
  • Industry relationships across Europe
  • Client relationship management skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, AI tools, Excel, PowerPoint, LinkedIn, Slack, G Suite, and DocuSign
  • Verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business development strategies for regional expansion
  • Manage and expand an existing client base
  • Generate new business and revenue opportunities through client relationships
  • Represent live events, digital media, video, podcasts, newsletters, thought leadership, and custom products
  • Build long-term partnerships and maximize client ROI
  • Meet and exceed revenue targets
  • Collaborate with the Global Partnerships team and business leads
  • Maintain Salesforce data and sales pipeline metrics
  • Gather sales intelligence and propose product enhancements
  • Travel for client meetings and relevant conferences
