About the Role

You will lead, coach, and develop systems and applications engineers while setting technical standards for physical systems. You will architect, debug, build, and launch systems; guide complex hardware and software problem-solving; manage performance and resources; and coordinate priorities, risks, handoffs, and quality expectations with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 6 or more years building and launching complex physical systems
  • 2 or more years managing performance, developing engineers, and allocating resources
  • Hands-on experience across hardware, firmware, software, and integration
  • Familiarity with ROS, embedded systems, and full-stack robotics development
  • Experience training or mentoring engineers
  • United States work authorization
  • Must qualify as a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee under export-control requirements

Responsibilities

  • Lead and train systems and applications engineers
  • Set technical standards and architect, debug, build, and launch physical systems
  • Guide resolution of complex hardware and software issues
  • Review engineering output for quality, performance, and maintainability
  • Coach engineers in structured problem-solving and technical decision-making
  • Create onboarding and learning frameworks
  • Conduct performance reviews and career development conversations
  • Allocate resources and prioritize team work
  • Communicate bandwidth, skills, and project risks
  • Coordinate handoffs, timelines, and quality expectations with stakeholders
