About the Role
The Regional Director will drive business development across LATAM, serve as a public-facing regional voice, coordinate partnerships, events, policy, and regulatory activities, support stakeholder objectives, and represent Stellar at regional meetings and conferences.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant business development experience in blockchain, fintech, or financial services.
- At least 2 years of experience in the blockchain industry.
- Strong understanding of cryptocurrency, exchanges, custodians, and asset tokenization platforms.
- Strong accountability and ability to communicate regional progress and outcomes to stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate with distributed teams and multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with senior professionals.
- Self-starter with entrepreneurial drive.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently.
- Preferred existing relationships in tokenization, DeFi, and the crypto ecosystem.
- Preferred relationships with financial institutions, particularly asset managers.
Responsibilities
- Drive business development across Latin America focused on DeFi, monthly address growth, and asset tokenization.
- Serve as a regional public-facing voice and thought leader for the Stellar ecosystem.
- Coordinate regional business development, events, policy, and regulatory initiatives.
- Support the partnership team and contribute to primary OKRs.
- Assist Legal, Policy, and Government Relations with regional regulatory matters.
- Identify, plan, and run regional events.
- Surface and help close business opportunities originating in the region.
- Represent Stellar at regional meetings and conferences and travel as needed.
