About the Role
You will manage and expand merchant acquisition and relationship activities across North Luzon, identifying, approaching, and onboarding new merchants from various industries to adopt payment solutions including POS terminals, QR payments, and e-wallet services. You will build and maintain strong partnerships with merchants to drive transaction growth, retention, and satisfaction. You will lead commercial discussions and negotiate merchant discount rates, service agreements, and other business terms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Product, Technology, Operations, and Customer Support to ensure seamless merchant onboarding, integration, and ongoing support. You will act as the primary relationship manager and escalation point for merchant concerns and operational issues within your regional portfolio. You will monitor and analyze portfolio performance, conduct market visits, and stay informed on regional trends to support growth initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in merchant acquisition, business development, or account management within fintech, banking, payments, or e-commerce
- Proven track record in closing deals, managing merchant portfolios, and achieving sales targets
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Self-driven, organized, and able to manage regional coverage across North Luzon
- Experience working with cross-functional and international teams is an advantage
- Willing to travel within North Luzon for field and merchant visits
- Mandarin speaking skills are a plus

- Act as the primary relationship manager and escalation point for merchant concerns, operational issues, and service-related inquiries
- Monitor and analyze portfolio performance across North Luzon, including transaction volumes, merchant activity, and revenue growth
- Identify opportunities for expansion and upselling
- Conduct regular market visits and business development activities across North Luzon
- Stay informed on regional market trends, competitor activities, and evolving customer needs within the payments and fintech industry
