About the Role
You'll be responsible for acquiring, managing, and growing relationships with merchants and partners across industries in a specific regional account. You'll identify, approach, and onboard new merchants across various industries to adopt payment services such as QR payments and e-wallets. You'll build and maintain strong relationships with existing merchants to drive transaction volume, retention, and overall satisfaction. You'll negotiate merchant discount rates, commercial terms, and service agreements, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and integration. You'll act as the main point of contact for merchant queries, support requests, and escalations, while monitoring account and portfolio performance and identifying opportunities for growth and upselling. You'll also stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs within the payments and fintech space.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in merchant acquisition, key account management, or business development, preferably in fintech, banking, payments, or e-commerce
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management within fintech, payments, or financial services
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills
- Ability to analyze data and identify actionable insights for account growth
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with remittance, payment gateways, or digital wallets is an advantage
- Familiarity with Web3 ecosystems, crypto products, or blockchain technologies is a strong advantage
- Ability to speak and understand Mandarin Chinese is a plus
Responsibilities
- Identify, approach, and onboard new merchants across various industries to adopt payment services (e.g., QR payments, e-wallets)

- Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Technology, Operations) to ensure smooth onboarding and integration
- Act as the main point of contact for merchant queries, support requests, and escalations
- Monitor account and portfolio performance, track transaction volumes, and identify opportunities for growth and upselling
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs within the payments and fintech space
- Handle regional accounts such as North America, Latin America, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific
