About the Role
You will identify, approach, and onboard new merchants across various industries to use payment services such as POS terminals, QR payments, and e-wallets. You will build and maintain strong relationships with existing merchants to drive usage, retention, and satisfaction. You will negotiate merchant discount rates, commercial terms, and service agreements. You will collaborate with internal teams to support smooth onboarding and integration, and serve as the main point of contact for merchant queries, support, and escalations. You will monitor account and portfolio performance, track transaction volumes, and identify growth opportunities while staying updated on industry trends and competitor offerings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field
- 2–4 years of experience in merchant acquisition, business development, or account management, preferably in fintech, banking, payments, or e-commerce
- Proven experience in closing deals and managing a high-volume portfolio
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Customer-focused mindset with a strong drive to exceed targets and KPIs
- Self-starter with strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to coordinate with international partners and stakeholders
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas and receiving positive customer feedback
- Can speak and understand Mandarin Chinese is a plus

- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs in the payments and fintech space
