About the Role
You will lead commercial legal support for enterprise technology and startup go-to-market work. You will draft and negotiate agreements, advise sales stakeholders, improve contract infrastructure, manage legal professionals, identify legal risks, and monitor legal developments affecting AI technologies.
Requirements
- JD and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
- Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, SaaS agreements, or technology transactions
- People-management experience, including hiring, developing, and leading legal professionals
- Written and verbal communication skills for translating legal concepts to non-lawyers
- Ability to work from the San Francisco office at least 3 days a week
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or experience
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements
- Support sales and go-to-market teams with practical legal guidance
- Build and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and process improvements
- Manage a team supporting enterprise technology and startup segments
- Identify and escalate legal risks
- Stay current on legal developments affecting AI technologies
