About the Role
You will lead LemFi’s 0-to-1 market entry across Mexico, Colombia, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, and other LATAM markets. You will identify and negotiate distribution partnerships, navigate licensing and compliance requirements, define market-entry metrics, use AI tools for research and prioritization, represent the business with partners and regulators, and build a small team as momentum grows.
Requirements
- Proven 0-to-1 market-entry experience specifically in LATAM, including Mexico, Colombia, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic
- Deep familiarity with remittance licensing, forex frameworks, stablecoin regulation, and KYC/AML localization across at least two LATAM markets
- Experience closing distribution partnerships with banks, fintechs, or payment processors
- Ability to operate across multiple markets simultaneously
- Experience working in fast-moving, under-resourced environments
- Strong commercial prioritization and data literacy
- Fluency in Spanish and English
- Portuguese is a plus
- Prior experience at a remittance, neobank, or payment infrastructure company operating in LATAM is a plus
- Existing regulatory or partner relationships in LATAM are a plus
- Experience hiring and leading a small BD or partnerships team is a plus
Responsibilities
- Build and own the LATAM market-entry strategy across multiple markets
- Sign distribution partnerships with banks, fintechs, and payment processors
- Navigate remittance licensing, forex regulations, stablecoin treatment, and KYC/AML localization
- Define and achieve metrics for signed partners, regulatory clearances, and live revenue cohorts
- Use AI tools to research competitive and regulatory landscapes and prioritize markets
- Represent LemFi with partners, regulators, and ecosystem players
- Build a small business development team as momentum grows
