About the Role
You will identify, evaluate, and execute acquisitions and strategic investments. You will build business cases, conduct valuation and diligence, negotiate and close transactions, coordinate post-close integration, cultivate deal relationships, and present recommendations to leadership and the Board.
Requirements
- 10+ years of corporate development, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or investing experience
- Experience sourcing, leading, and closing technology acquisitions or strategic investments
- Company valuation and financial modeling skills
- Structured problem-solving and data analysis
- Relationship management with founders, investors, bankers, and executives
- Executive presentation and communication skills
- Knowledge of fintech, financial services, or consumer technology
Responsibilities
- Analyze strategic, competitive, and industry landscapes for M&A opportunities
- Manage transactions from sourcing through closing and integration
- Lead deal evaluation meetings and decision-making
- Build relationships with founders, investors, and investment banks
- Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Compliance, Product, and Engineering
- Present opportunities and recommendations to leadership and the Board
- Develop corporate development processes and playbooks
