About the Role

You will lead strategy and commercial development across a digital assets trading footprint. You will monitor markets and regulation, evaluate growth opportunities, build commercial cases, source and negotiate partnerships, and prepare strategic materials for leadership. You will also coordinate integration work across relevant functions, take opportunities from proposal to live trading, define success metrics, maintain industry relationships, and represent the business at external forums.

Requirements

  • Have 3–5 years of experience in corporate strategy, corporate development, business development, another commercial financial-markets role, strategy consulting, or investment banking
  • Possess working knowledge of traditional financial markets, including execution, clearing, settlement, and financing
  • Possess working knowledge of digital assets, including exchange and custody models, derivatives, blockchain infrastructure, and tokenization
  • Demonstrate the ability to assess opportunities through rigorous data-driven analysis and turn recommendations into execution
  • Have experience structuring and negotiating complex commercial partnerships
  • Have experience building and maintaining senior internal and external relationships
  • Demonstrate a track record of building a new product, revenue stream, or business line, or implementing a strategic recommendation
  • Exercise sound judgment and integrity in sensitive stakeholder and regulatory contexts
  • Demonstrate strong ownership, accountability, and commercial judgment
  • Communicate effectively and influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Be willing to travel as required
  • Preferably have experience at a market maker, proprietary trading firm, exchange, or the digital assets division of a bank or broker
  • Preferably have an established network across traditional finance or the crypto ecosystem
  • Preferably possess sufficient quantitative or technical literacy to work effectively with traders and engineers

Responsibilities

  • Monitor digital asset markets, industry trends, market structure, and regulatory and policy developments
  • Identify, assess, and develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and growth areas
  • Map and prioritize digital asset opportunities
  • Build commercial cases for new products, venues, and geographies
  • Evaluate market size, competitive positioning, and build-buy-partner decisions
  • Support the development and execution of corporate and business strategy initiatives
  • Prepare strategy papers, management presentations, and leadership materials
  • Source and secure partnerships with exchanges, counterparties, issuers, custodians, prime brokers, infrastructure providers, and intermediaries
  • Represent the business externally and build relationships with regulators, exchanges, standard-setting bodies, and industry leaders
  • Build and maintain a network across traditional finance and crypto-native markets
  • Assess strategic investment opportunities with Principal Strategic Investments
  • Lead commercial structuring and negotiations for new products, venues, and partnerships
  • Support ongoing digital asset business activities
  • Own integration workstreams from proposal through live trading
  • Coordinate with trading, technology, legal, compliance, risk, and operations stakeholders
  • Define success metrics for new initiatives and monitor performance after launch
  • Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and forums
