About the Role
Support complex commercial transactions across APAC, including SaaS, licensing, and strategic partnerships, while advising cross-functional teams and navigating legal, regulatory, data protection, technology, and AI-related risks.
Requirements
- Law degree.
- Qualification to practice law in a relevant APAC jurisdiction.
- 7+ years of relevant post-qualification legal experience.
- In-house experience in technology or SaaS preferred.
- Experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial and technology agreements.
- Knowledge of enterprise software licensing, SaaS, data protection, and intellectual property.
- Experience advising on privacy, cybersecurity, and cross-border data transfers.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfort working in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements for APAC GTM and sales transactions.
- Partner with sales, business development, and operations teams on go-to-market strategies.
- Monitor and interpret regional legal and regulatory developments.
- Apply legal knowledge to contract drafting and risk assessment.
- Develop, maintain, and localize contract templates, playbooks, and policies.
- Provide practical commercial legal advice to cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to scaling the Legal Team’s commercial function.
