About the Role
You will own the legal aspects of vendor contracts and third-party risk management. You will draft and negotiate commercial, custody, brokerage, trading, partnership, and intercompany agreements. You will develop contract-management guidelines and playbooks, lead projects independently, and partner with sales, product, engineering, and operations to resolve legal issues and structure complex agreements.
Requirements
- J.D. degree with a focus on financial services or corporate law
- 4+ years of experience drafting and negotiating commercial and vendor contracts
- Experience working with business and cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues and strategize growth
- Foundational understanding of the crypto industry and applicable US and international laws and regulations
- Ability to manage multiple projects with close attention to detail
- Ability to execute with moderate supervision and balance commercial and legal realities
Responsibilities
- Own vendor contracts and third-party risk management from a legal perspective
- Draft and negotiate commercial, custody, brokerage, trading, partnership, and intercompany agreements
- Partner with the Third Party Risk Management team on the contract-management framework
- Develop contract-management guidelines and playbooks
- Lead medium-to-large projects and processes independently
- Partner with sales, product, engineering, and operations to identify and resolve legal issues
- Structure complex agreements and improve efficiency
- Share negotiation knowledge with appropriate teams
- Prioritize work based on company goals and communicate the rationale
