About the Role
Own the day-to-day workplace experience at Polymarket's New York headquarters. Lead the workplace team, manage office operations, budgets, vendors, safety, security, events, culture infrastructure, landlord relationships, and office build-outs while developing scalable systems for company growth.
Requirements
- 7–10+ years of workplace, office operations, or facilities experience at a high-growth startup or technology company, including people management.
- Experience building a workplace function and leading its day-to-day team.
- Experience leading a major office build-out or relocation.
- Budget management and vendor negotiation experience.
- Experience building durable operational systems.
- Strong communication skills with executives, engineers, and contractors.
- High ownership, attention to detail, and strong judgment.
- Preferred: experience in fintech, crypto, or fast-moving startups; NYC office build-outs; event planning; Notion, Slack, and modern workplace tools; and People Ops or HR culture programming.
Responsibilities
- Run the New York headquarters and maintain workspace, supplies, furniture, and office experience.
- Manage cleaning, catering, and facilities-maintenance vendors.
- Own, plan, track, and optimize the workplace budget.
- Ensure visitors, candidates, investors, and partners receive a strong office experience.
- Partner with IT and Security on visitor management, room booking, inventory, maintenance, access, and incident response.
- Maintain sustainable, accessible, and ADA-compliant workplace practices and spaces.
- Own workplace health and safety checks, ergonomics, and local compliance.
- Run emergency preparedness, evacuation plans, drills, and business-continuity planning with Security.
- Manage, coach, and grow the workplace team.
- Create workplace playbooks and standard operating procedures.
- Partner with People, Finance, IT, and Security on workplace needs.
- Track workplace utilization, employee satisfaction, and spend, and report results to leadership.
- Own the in-office events program and support culture programming.
- Manage landlord relationships, lease compliance, and local-ordinance requirements.
- Lead office build-outs, including timelines, permitting, furniture, moves, and coordination with designers and architects.
- Scope and build new office sites as the company expands.
