About the Role
You will lead the execution of Ripple's global corporate development mandate, deploying capital strategically through partnerships, investments, and acquisitions. You'll develop unique perspectives on key categories within the crypto ecosystem, curating research and market intelligence to identify critical shifts and communicate their strategic implications to leadership. You'll engage cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Go-to-Market teams to qualify opportunities and refine strategic interests, while developing perspectives on competitors to inform broader business strategy. You'll lead end-to-end execution of acquisitions and investments, from defining business needs and mapping market landscapes to engaging prospects and building robust business cases. You'll partner with Finance, Legal, Tax, and People teams to drive due diligence and ensure smooth post-deal integration. You'll build and maintain strong relationships with the global blockchain entrepreneur and investor community to source opportunities and manage a high-velocity deal pipeline, while collaborating with Business Development to forge alliances that promote Ripple's products and services. You'll also develop internal processes and artifacts for the corporate development function, including data-driven backtesting of acquisition performance, and conduct ad-hoc qualitative and quantitative analyses to support planning, investing, and integration efforts.
Requirements
- 10+ years in Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Venture Capital, or Corporate Finance
- Proven track record of proactive relationship building to drive proprietary deal flow
- Proven experience managing multiple complex deals simultaneously through all phases
- Background in building, mentoring, and leading high-performing teams
- Mastery of financial modeling, including three-statement analysis, valuation, and market data models
- Comfort operating without an established playbook and ability to architect creative deal structures
- Sophisticated understanding of both blockchain technology and traditional financial services
- Exceptional intellectual rigor, attention to detail, and proactive collaborative communication style
