About the Role

Lead Ripple's global corporate development mandate by deploying capital through partnerships, investments, and acquisitions; developing crypto ecosystem research and market intelligence; evaluating competitors; executing acquisitions and investments; coordinating due diligence and integration; sourcing opportunities through blockchain entrepreneur and investor relationships; and supporting strategic planning with qualitative, quantitative, and backtesting analyses.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Venture Capital, or Corporate Finance
  • Proven track record of proactive relationship building to drive proprietary deal flow
  • Proven experience managing multiple complex deals simultaneously through all phases
  • Background in building, mentoring, and leading high-performing teams
  • Mastery of financial modeling, including three-statement analysis, valuation, and market data models
  • Comfort operating without an established playbook and ability to architect creative deal structures
  • Sophisticated understanding of both blockchain technology and traditional financial services
  • Exceptional intellectual rigor, attention to detail, and proactive collaborative communication style

Responsibilities

  • Develop unique perspectives on key categories within the crypto ecosystem
  • Curate research and market intelligence to identify critical shifts and communicate strategic implications to leadership
  • Engage with Product, Engineering, and Go-to-Market teams to qualify opportunities and refine strategic interests
  • Develop perspectives on key competitors to inform business strategy
  • Lead execution of acquisitions and investments by defining business needs, mapping market landscapes, engaging prospects, and developing business cases
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, Tax, and People teams to drive due diligence and post-deal integration
  • Establish and maintain relationships with the global blockchain entrepreneur and investor community
  • Manage a high-velocity deal pipeline
  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to forge alliances
  • Develop internal processes and artifacts for the corporate development function
  • Conduct data-driven backtesting of acquisition performance against investment thesis
  • Perform ad-hoc qualitative and quantitative analyses for planning, investing and integration efforts
