About the Role
Lead Ripple's global corporate development mandate by deploying capital through partnerships, investments, and acquisitions. Develop crypto ecosystem market intelligence, qualify opportunities with cross-functional teams, analyze competitors, execute acquisitions and investments, drive due diligence and integration, source opportunities through relationships, build strategic alliances, and develop corporate development processes and analyses.
Requirements
- 10+ years in Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Venture Capital, or Corporate Finance.
- Proven relationship-building and proprietary deal-flow generation track record.
- Experience managing multiple complex deals through all phases.
- Experience building, mentoring, and leading high-performing teams.
- Mastery of financial modeling, including three-statement analysis, valuation, and market data models.
- Ability to operate without an established playbook and architect creative deal structures.
- Sophisticated understanding of blockchain technology and traditional financial services.
- Exceptional intellectual rigor, attention to detail, and proactive collaborative communication.
Responsibilities
- Develop perspectives on key categories within the crypto ecosystem.
- Curate research and market intelligence and communicate strategic implications to leadership.
- Engage with Product, Engineering, and Go-to-Market teams to qualify opportunities.
- Analyze competitors to inform business strategy.
- Lead end-to-end execution of acquisitions and investments.
- Define business needs, map markets, engage prospects, and develop business cases.
- Partner with Finance, Legal, Tax, and People teams on due diligence and integration.
- Build relationships with blockchain entrepreneurs and investors to source opportunities.
- Manage a high-velocity deal pipeline.
- Collaborate with Business Development on strategic alliances.
- Develop internal corporate development processes and artifacts.
- Conduct data-driven backtesting of acquisition performance against investment theses.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses for planning, strategy, investing, and integration.
