About the Role
You will lead and support strategic transactions, advise on regulatory and commercial matters, and draft and negotiate a broad range of agreements. You will oversee corporate legal functions and coordinate regulatory projects, registrations, exemptions, and outside counsel.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of post-qualification experience.
- Admission to practice in New York or another U.S. jurisdiction.
- Training at a top-tier law firm.
- Some in-house experience at a financial institution.
- Deal experience in corporate M&A, capital markets, financial services, and/or securities regulation.
- Ability to manage transactional, regulatory, and corporate work.
- Commercial awareness and project management skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support strategic transactions, including M&A, venture investments, and corporate matters, from structuring and diligence through negotiation and closing.
- Serve as a legal partner to regulated and investment businesses, including asset management, broker-dealer, and CTA activities.
- Draft and negotiate investment, client, commercial, and corporate agreements.
- Advise business teams on securities, financial-services, and digital-asset regulatory matters.
- Lead or coordinate regulatory projects, registrations, exemptions, and outside-counsel interactions.
- Provide commercially oriented advice on new products, transactions, and strategic initiatives.
- Oversee entity governance, filings, resolutions, NDAs, and vendor arrangements.
- Support emerging legal priorities outside the primary areas of coverage.
