About the Role
Work with a private investment fund to scout promising early-stage longevity startups and research projects, build relationships across the investment and scientific ecosystem, attend industry events, manage speaking opportunities for the Founder, and help develop a longevity-focused holding company. The role also includes varied administrative and logistical tasks in a fast-moving, unconventional environment.
Requirements
- Deep personal passion for longevity and understanding of early-stage startups.
- Successful experience reaching out to large numbers of warm leads.
- Experience managing people and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work in a chaotic, unpredictable, non-linear environment with unconventional tasks.
- Self-starter able to work with minimal hand-holding.
- Ability to be mobile and responsive.
- At least an MSc in longevity-related STEM such as biology, medicine, pharmacology, biochemistry, genomics, or computational biology.
- Experience with early-stage or growth-stage startups or research projects funded by grants, prizes, or other non-equity funding is preferred.
- Extensive network within the longevity community.
- Intelligent use of auxiliary AI tools.
- Perfect English; other major global languages are a plus.
- Experience working with a team in a non-corporate environment.
Responsibilities
- Identify deal flows and cultivate relationships with longevity startups, entrepreneurial scientists, VCs, family offices, and investment syndicates.
- Stay abreast of longevity trends and developments and provide insights and recommendations.
- Attend industry events to identify startups and pre-startup research projects.
- Manage speaking opportunities for the Founder at conferences and events.
- Help develop a business model for a longevity-focused holding company acquiring technologies, R&D, or startups.
- Handle administrative and logistical tasks related to fund operations as needed.
