About the Role
You will provide strategic leadership for verification, validation, and release activities. You will define test and release strategies, review evidence and risks, guide safety testing, communicate critical gaps, and coordinate cross-functional delivery of safe software releases.
Requirements
- Master's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree with 10+ years
- Experience leading delivery of safety-critical software solutions
- Experience launching safety-critical commercial products
- Experience with complex embedded systems and ADAS technologies
- Experience with software release tools, build systems, versioning systems, defect management, and source control
- Experience delivering production systems from prototype through launch and in-field maintenance
- Knowledge of software development, operating systems, deployment, or systems engineering
- Strong systems thinking, technical coaching, facilitation, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Define verification and validation lifecycle strategy and defensible test plans
- Create verification and validation strategies across component, subsystem, and system test environments
- Define and review product-release strategies, risks, and mitigations
- Review test results and tool-qualification activities supporting validation evidence
- Report gaps in traceability, defensibility, and completeness to leadership
- Guide teams in safety test methods, coverage calculations, sampling, edge cases, and FMEA
- Lead cross-functional alignment on release strategy and execution
- Identify product-lifecycle efficiency and quality improvements
- Guide validation of training data and machine-learned software models
