About the Role
You will lead and support the full safety lifecycle, from initial concepts through validation and certification. You will develop safety assurance arguments and safety concepts, define and validate safety-critical requirements, perform safety analyses, maintain safety-case documentation, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing safety-critical systems
- Experience applying functional safety standards for embedded systems, such as IEC 61508, IEC 62061, ISO 13849, or ISO 26262
- Experience with robotics safety standards, such as ISO 10218, ISO 13482, or ISO 3691-4
- Experience developing safety cases and obtaining certification for autonomous systems
- Familiarity with safety standards for sensors and actuators
- Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and validating safety systems for mobile robots or dynamic systems
- Technical documentation and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Lead or support activities across the complete safety lifecycle from concept through validation and certification
- Develop safety assurance arguments for subsystems and overall products
- Contribute to safety concept definition and technical development of safety-critical systems
- Define, communicate, and validate safety-critical requirements for sensors, controllers, actuators, hardware, and software
- Perform FMEA, FMEDA, and FTA safety analyses
- Create and maintain safety-case documentation, including risk assessments, safety concepts, requirement specifications, verification and validation plans, and test reports
- Ensure compliance with regulations and international standards
