About the Role
You will design, configure, and maintain scalable networks for hardware-in-the-loop laboratories and integration environments. You will automate network deployments, integrate program hardware, execute test plans, build observability, troubleshoot issues, maintain network documentation, and support customer demonstrations.
Requirements
- 5 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, 3 years with a master's degree, or equivalent practical experience
- Knowledge of Ethernet and TCP/IP networking, switching, routing, subnetting, VLANs, multicast, DNS, DHCP, NAT, QoS, and transport protocols
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting managed switches, routers, firewalls, Linux hosts, and networked computing systems
- Proficiency in Python or a comparable language for network automation
- Experience developing and executing structured network or system tests
- Experience supporting HIL, integration-lab, distributed-system, or test-infrastructure environments
- Experience with source control, configuration management, documentation, and change control
- Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance
Responsibilities
- Design, build, configure, and maintain network architectures for test infrastructure
- Manage Layer 2 and Layer 3 configurations
- Develop network automation, configuration-as-code, and validation utilities
- Integrate network hardware into HIL and program environments
- Develop and execute network test plans
- Build network observability capabilities
- Reproduce, isolate, and resolve network and distributed-system issues
- Support customer demonstrations, exercises, and evaluations
- Maintain network baselines, inventories, maps, diagrams, and change records
- Integrate network automation into source-control and CI/CD workflows
- Evaluate network equipment and support capacity planning and procurement
