About the Role
You will lead resolution of escalated network incidents across routing, switching, DNS, CDN, load balancing, and connectivity. You will conduct root-cause analysis, implement permanent fixes, lead major-incident response, improve monitoring and automation, maintain runbooks, mentor engineers, and lead post-incident reviews.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of network engineering, network operations, or infrastructure operations experience
- Routing, switching, BGP, OSPF, DNS, firewall, load-balancing, and CDN expertise
- Packet capture, flow analysis, and routing or peering diagnostic skills
- Complex incident diagnosis, root-cause analysis, and remediation experience
- Python, Ansible, or equivalent network automation and scripting skills
- Monitoring, observability, and ITSM tooling knowledge
- Technical documentation and mentoring skills
- Ability to work rotational 24x7 shifts and on-call coverage
- English communication proficiency
Responsibilities
- Own escalated network incidents and drive them to resolution
- Lead complex troubleshooting using packet captures, flow data, routing tables, logs, and change history
- Meet resolution SLA targets and provide incident updates
- Determine root causes and implement permanent fixes
- Partner with engineering specialists, carriers, and peering providers on remediation
- Lead major-incident bridges and document recovery decisions
- Build automation to reduce manual effort and MTTR
- Improve network monitoring, alerting, telemetry, and dashboards
- Author runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge-base articles
- Mentor network engineers and review triage quality
- Lead post-incident reviews and track corrective actions to closure
