About the Role
You will lead technical capture and go-to-market engagements for aircraft opportunities. You will develop technical strategies and proposal content, shape operational concepts, support customer discussions, assess feasibility with engineering, maintain technical sales materials, train business-development colleagues, analyze the market, and produce briefs that inform product direction.
Requirements
- 10+ years of technical sales, capture, engineering, or program-management experience in defense or aerospace
- Familiarity with US Department of War procurement processes and military force structures
- Experience at a major defense prime supporting tactical aircraft, CCA/ACA, or Group 4/5 UAS programs
- Experience with government or military acquisition stakeholders
- Systems-level understanding of aircraft design tradeoffs, operational CONOPS, and mission-based engineering
- Ability to translate technical concepts into narratives for senior stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, applied science, or a related technical discipline
- Written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Lead technical capture efforts for US domestic opportunities
- Support customer engagements, pre-sales technical support, proposal contributions, and solution development
- Develop technical strategies for compliant proposals
- Lead technical go-to-market engagements
- Manage technical content for proposals, RFIs, white papers, and capability briefs
- Support early-phase acquisition activities
- Shape early operational concepts aligned to aircraft capabilities
- Provide technical expertise during customer engagements and solution discussions
- Liaise between business development and engineering on customer requests
- Maintain technical documentation and sales collateral
- Train and mentor business-development teams on technical solutions
- Support competitive analysis and market intelligence
- Improve business-development workflows and technical capture strategies
- Produce white papers and briefs on operational and environmental factors
