About the Role
You will own an individual sales quota and consistently meet or exceed targets through new client acquisition, account retention, and revenue growth. You will deliver consultative sales by understanding client needs and recommending monetization, targeting, and performance strategies to maximize ROI. You will negotiate and secure contracts that align with both client and business objectives, and collaborate with the product team to optimize ad inventory, pricing, and new ad units. You will analyze sales data to produce accurate forecasts, identify risks and opportunities, and own forecasting for your portfolio. You will source new business opportunities, manage the sales pipeline, and keep CRM records accurate and up to date. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients and agencies, develop media plans aligned with client goals, and provide strategic input on creative formats and budget allocation. You will research market conditions and competitor trends to inform sales strategy, deliver in-depth sales reporting and analytics, and track your performance on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. You will support process refinement, create playbooks for junior team members, collaborate closely with AdOps and Product teams, mentor interns and junior-mid team members, and support any ad hoc tasks as required.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in advertising sales with a consistent track record of exceeding targets, ideally in startups or fintech
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field is a plus
- Strong understanding of CoinGecko Ad products, customer needs, and the crypto/blockchain landscape
- Expertise in full sales lifecycle including prospecting, nurturing, closing, pipeline management, sales reporting, forecasting and analysis
- Proficiency in CRM tools (HubSpot) and leveraging data insights for decision-making
- Proficiency in AdTech including ad serving, analytics, and targeting principles, and understanding of ad formats and cost types (CPM/CPC/CPA)
- Strong market research, competitor analysis, and GTM strategy experience
- Strong project management skills handling multiple initiatives while managing risks, costs, and timelines
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills to close high-value deals
- Keen interest in blockchain, cryptocurrency, NFT, web3, and metaverse topics

- Source new business opportunities and implement client acquisition strategies
- Qualify new leads through inbound and outbound efforts
- Manage the sales pipeline, schedule meetings, and update CRM
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients and agencies and manage complex relationships
- Escalate issues when needed and maintain accurate CRM records
- Develop media plans for clients aligned with client goals and ad offerings
- Provide strategic input on creative formats, placements, and budget allocation
- Research and analyze market conditions, competitor trends, and investment drivers
- Share actionable insights to support client and management decisions
- Deliver in-depth reporting and insights on sales performance
- Track individual sales performance on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
- Prepare and present actionable reports on sales performance to internal stakeholders
- Identify inefficiencies and propose scalable process solutions
- Create playbooks to guide junior team members on CRM best practices
- Collaborate with AdOps to ensure seamless execution of advertising campaigns
- Partner with Product to test new ad formats and share performance feedback
- Mentor interns and junior-mid team members and provide feedback on their work
- Support any ad hoc tasks as required by the company
