About the Role
You take loosely defined data problems from framing through delivery. You design and build scalable data pipelines and products, create reliable transformations and data models, ingest data from diverse sources, implement testing and observability, optimize performance and cost, and collaborate with analytics, product, and engineering teams.
Requirements
- 8-10+ years of industry experience in data engineering
- SQL proficiency
- Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java
- Experience building scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows
- Hands-on dbt experience
- Experience ingesting data from APIs, databases, SaaS applications, and event streams
- Data modeling and schema design
- Data quality practices
- Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Databricks
- CI/CD and automated testing experience
- Data observability
- Monitoring, alerting, and incident response
- Performance and cost optimization
- AI and automation in data engineering
