About the Role
You will design canonical data models, build analytics-ready Snowflake datasets, and develop reliable ELT and ETL pipelines across Snowflake and SQL Server. You will implement data quality and observability practices, optimize analytical performance and cost, publish curated data to downstream systems, and drive documentation, lineage, schema evolution, and secure handling of sensitive data.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- 8+ years of experience building production data systems
- Strong SQL skills with Snowflake and/or Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience with dimensional modeling, star schemas, conformed dimensions, and slowly changing dimensions
- Experience designing and implementing batch and near-real-time ELT and ETL pipelines
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala
- Knowledge of transformation testing, CI/CD, environment promotion, and operational monitoring
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Partner with domain experts, product, and engineering teams to design canonical data models
- Build and evolve analytics-ready datasets in Snowflake
- Design and develop ELT and ETL pipelines across Snowflake and SQL Server
- Implement incremental processing, idempotency, deduplication, and backfill strategies
- Establish data quality and observability practices
- Optimize Snowflake and SQL Server analytical performance and cost
- Publish curated data to downstream serving and search systems
- Drive documentation, lineage, schema evolution, and secure handling of sensitive data
