About the Role
You will serve as the first in-house lawyer and handle contract negotiations, employment agreements, fundraising, and board matters. You will define approaches to AI security and interpretability contracts and regulations, and advise on licensing, data rights, and liability.
Requirements
- JD and active membership in at least one US state bar.
- 6+ years across law-firm and in-house technology-company roles, including enterprise software deals.
- Experience with AI/SaaS licensing, data rights, liability, and forward deployed contracts.
- Strong understanding of AI security and interpretability.
- Experience building a legal function from scratch.
- AI lab or AI/ML product experience, including model licensing, training-data rights, or open-source releases.
- Experience with healthcare or life sciences customers and related regulations.
