About the Role
You will report directly to Ripple’s Deputy General Counsel and play a key role in implementing innovative financial solutions. You will manage vendor agreements, support sales and business development teams with commercial transactions, draft and negotiate term sheets and definitive documentation, manage deal processes, budget for external advisors, and assist with other commercial or corporate matters.
Requirements
- J.D. from a top-tier law school with strong academic credentials
- A minimum of 7 years of practice, ideally as a corporate attorney at a major law firm and at a fintech startup
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with product, marketing, engineering, security, tax, and finance teams
- Outstanding problem-solving skills, judgment, communication, and interpersonal abilities
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and act decisively
- Competence in presenting complex issues clearly and concisely, providing succinct, practical, and effective legal advice
Responsibilities
- Manage the increasing number of vendor agreements and streamline the process
- Assist sales and business development teams with commercial transactions
- Draft and negotiate term sheets and definitive documentation
- Manage the deal process
- Manage and budget for external advisors engaged on projects
- Assist with other commercial or corporate matters as needed
