About the Role
You will advise business and finance leaders on deal structures, risk allocation, and approval paths. You will draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements, improve contract processes and legal resources, manage evolving in-house legal matters, and use appropriate technology to support legal work.
Requirements
- 6-10 years of commercial legal experience in technology transactions, SaaS agreements, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, funds, or finance
- Experience leading complex commercial negotiations from term sheet through execution
- Understanding of practical business issues and legal risk
- Cross-functional project experience under tight deadlines
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Negotiation skills
- Appropriate AI tool use for legal work
Responsibilities
- Advise finance and business development professionals on deal structure, risk allocation, approval paths, and practical options
- Draft, negotiate, and close commercial, SaaS, technology, vendor, licensing, data, and strategic-partnership agreements
- Manage deals from term sheet through signature
- Align cross-functional stakeholders on priorities, decisions, tradeoffs, and next steps
- Build and improve contract processes, clause libraries, playbooks, and self-service resources
- Identify recurring issues and design sustainable process improvements
- Use AI and other technology for legal review, drafting, research, and workflow management with appropriate safeguards
- Contribute to evolving in-house commercial, corporate, and legal matters
