About the Role
You will introduce top-tier clients to Carta's product offerings, including Fund Administration, portfolio management, reporting and analytics, investor management, investor portal, valuations, and data collection. You will sell consultative access to Carta's fund administration accountants and investor portal, while advising new private equity funds on formation best practices and vendor selection.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- 5–10+ years of Fund Administration sales experience
- In-depth understanding of fund structures, including Private Equity, Venture Capital, Private Credit, or Real Estate
- Experience managing a pipeline and closing large contracts
- Proven ability to execute, especially in negotiation and closing
- Intellectually curious and a fast learner
- Articulate, poised, and concise
- Flexible and resilient
- Competitive and driven to achieve goals
- Experience in venture capital, private equity, institutional investing, or wealth management preferred
- Relevant sales experience, preferably in SaaS or financial services
Responsibilities
- Communicate the business impact of product offerings to key decision makers
- Influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus-building to identify and sell new opportunities
- Own sales cycles that could be up to 12 months
- Understand customer needs and requirements and act as a trusted business advisor
- Build and expand an industry network to create new business opportunities
- Drive revenue through strategic outbound prospecting
- Own the entire sales lifecycle from lead generation to close
- Develop a comprehensive sales strategy and plan to consistently achieve goals
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and seminars
