About the Role
You will develop sourcing strategies for specialty construction materials, lead RFQs and bid evaluations, and negotiate supply agreements. You will secure manufacturing capacity, monitor supplier risk and delivery, coordinate accurate purchase orders and payments, and report category spend, savings, and supply risks.
Requirements
- 5+ years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience for electrical materials and equipment on capital projects
- Experience negotiating supply agreements with manufacturers and distributors, including metal price-adjustment terms
- Ability to read single-line diagrams, cable schedules, and equipment specifications
- Experience managing long-lead equipment and supplier-capacity constraints
- Data center, utility, or mission-critical project experience preferred
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or Odoo preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop sourcing strategies for specialty construction materials
- Lead RFQs and technical and commercial bid evaluations
- Negotiate supply and framework agreements, price adjustments, tariff strategies, lead-time commitments, and warranties
- Secure manufacturing slots and track production against project schedules
- Qualify and dual-source critical suppliers
- Coordinate awarded agreements, purchase orders, delivery, and contractual-milestone payments
- Report category spend, savings, and supply risk and recommend improvements
