About the Role
You will work with current and prospective legal customers in Japan to identify workflow needs, recommend solutions, and demonstrate relevant use cases. You will translate legal feedback into product direction, develop Japanese- and English-language workflows and demonstrations, collaborate across functions, and provide legal technology market intelligence.
Requirements
- Be based in Tokyo and eligible to work in Japan
- Hold Japanese lawyer qualification and registration with the Japan Federation of Bar Associations
- Have at least 3 years of qualified-lawyer experience at a top-tier Japanese law firm or in-house
- Be fluent in Japanese and English
- Exercise sound judgment and make well-reasoned recommendations
- Translate clearly between legal, product, and sales stakeholders
- Build relationships with legal leadership
Responsibilities
- Identify legal workflow pain points and recommend solutions
- Translate customer feedback and legal workflow insights into product direction
- Partner with product, engineering, sales, and marketing on the roadmap
- Build product demonstrations, workflows, and use cases in Japanese and English
- Introduce tailored new capabilities to customers
- Provide Japanese and APAC legal technology market intelligence
- Support the organisation's presence in Japan and APAC
