About the Role
You will lead the DeFi growth strategy for the Monad network and translate it into measurable TVL, volume, stablecoin and RWA market capitalization, and fees. You will oversee protocol and asset onboarding, advise builders on protocol design and positioning, activate liquidity relationships, represent DeFi opportunities to institutional executives, set incentive strategy, and manage a small team of DeFi specialists.
Requirements
- Track record of driving measurable growth in TVL, liquidity, or protocol adoption
- Understanding of value flows across lending, CDPs, DEXs, and yield-bearing stablecoins
- Ability to assess interest-bearing assets, including bridging mechanics, liquidity depth, redemption windows, reserve transparency, and issuer controls
- Established network among crypto-native funds, DeFi curators, and protocol founders
- Ability to communicate DeFi concepts to TradFi and fintech C-suite executives
- Leadership and management experience running a small, high-output team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of trading and markets and expected-value analysis
- Experience deploying or managing liquidity across multiple chains
- Ability to read Solidity and understand smart-contract risk conceptually
- Experience working within a foundation, DAO, or decentralized contributor structure
Responsibilities
- Own DeFi growth strategy across lending, DEXs, stablecoins, RWAs, and yield infrastructure
- Measure growth through TVL, volume, market capitalization, and fees generated
- Coordinate end-to-end asset and protocol onboarding across oracles, liquidators, DEX pool setup, curators, and bridging providers
- Advise DeFi builders on protocol mechanics, product gaps, and market positioning
- Activate relationships with liquid funds, curators, and DeFi founders to establish liquidity and protocol traction
- Represent the Foundation to TradFi and fintech institutional executives
- Develop and defend incentive strategy focused on durable TVL efficiency
- Manage 2–3 DeFi specialists and set priorities and execution tempo
