About the Role

You will manage compliant import and export activity, develop trade-compliance programs and controls, maintain classifications and screening processes, and optimize customs and duty opportunities. You will partner on audits, regulatory inquiries, and changing trade requirements while improving processes across global operations.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive global trade-compliance experience supporting manufacturing or multinational operations
• Knowledge of U.S. Export Administration Regulations, HTS classification, export controls, Free Trade Agreements, denied-party screening, and customs compliance
• Experience supporting trade activity across North America, EMEA, and APAC
• Experience managing customs brokers, trade-compliance vendors, or third-party logistics partners
• Experience with ERP or Global Trade Management systems

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliant import and export operations across global trade lanes
• Develop and maintain trade-compliance programs, policies, SOPs, and internal controls
• Optimize customs, duty, FTZ, and Free Trade Agreement opportunities
• Maintain tariff classifications, origin determinations, export-control assessments, and denied-party screening
• Prepare for audits, respond to regulatory inquiries, and improve compliance processes
