About the Role
You'll lead sales for your region across both public and private sectors, helping cities move toward more inclusive, sustainable, tech-enabled transportation. You'll own a revenue target and run your market end-to-end: finding opportunities, building the right relationships, and turning big mobility ideas into real, closed deals. You'll go far beyond traditional sales, working side-by-side with cities and private operators to define what great mobility looks like and turn it into real, deployed systems. This is a remote-first role based in the US Central region, ideally for candidates in Chicago or the broader Midwest, though other locations including Texas are open.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4+ years of client facing experience with a record of achievement in Sales, Business Development, Consulting, or similar space
- Consultative sales experience and ability to use data to build a compelling narrative
- Skilled and methodical researcher comfortable with complex problems and new environments
- Intuitive communicator across customer conversations, product presentations, and written proposals
- Strong commercial intuition and judgment for maximizing deal value
- Reliable, motivated self-starter with a growth mentality, comfortable in fast-paced environments
- Strong team player and mentor to others on the team
Responsibilities
- Identify prospective partners in your territory and build meaningful and durable revenue-generating relationships with a diverse group of prospective clients, from elected officials to private-sector business leaders
- Lead execution and strategy for full-cycle sales efforts across your territory
- Strategically navigate your market's unique buying landscape using research and strong analytical skills to build compelling data-driven business cases
- Demonstrate the value proposition across a range of verticals
- Educate and consult with prospective clients to develop regional transit plans and find funding mechanisms within your market
- Champion the mission and technology as the face of Via by leading local marketing campaigns, speaking at conferences, and providing thought leadership in the mobility space
