About the Role

You will manage and mentor electrical and firmware engineers while defining electrical architectures for robotic systems. You will lead firmware development, design reviews, validation planning, hardware integration, vendor collaboration, production support, field issue resolution, engineering planning, and risk assessment.

Requirements

• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience
• 5+ years leading technical teams, roadmaps, and project execution
• Experience delivering electrical systems for robotics, industrial automation, or embedded hardware products
• Knowledge of PCB design, power systems, signal integrity, and hardware interfaces
• Proficiency with electrical simulation, schematic capture, and PCB layout tools
• Familiarity with embedded microcontrollers and I2C, SPI, UART, and CAN protocols
• Firmware review and support experience
• Familiarity with safety, compliance, EMI/EMC, and field reliability practices

Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and support electrical and firmware engineers
• Define and evolve electrical architectures for power distribution, PCBs, cables, cameras, safety systems, and sensors and actuators
• Lead firmware development for PLC bring-up, drive systems, safety devices, and embedded systems
• Drive design reviews, safety considerations, and DFM and DFT practices
• Define test plans, validation criteria, test fixtures, and debug procedures
• Integrate electrical systems into field-ready robots
• Interface with vendors and manufacturing partners
• Diagnose and resolve electrical or embedded field issues
• Align engineering direction with product roadmap and contribute to risk assessment
