About the Role
You will lead electrical architecture and vehicle integration for autonomous driving hardware across vehicle platforms. You will define requirements, integrate compute, sensors, power, communications, and electronics, lead validation and troubleshooting, manage technical risks, and guide engineers and external partners through vehicle readiness.
Requirements
- Significant experience in electrical and mechanical engineering, vehicle integration, autonomous vehicles, ADAS, robotics, or advanced mobility
- Deep knowledge of vehicle electrical and electronic architectures
- Experience integrating complex electrical systems into development or production vehicles
- Experience taking vehicle hardware through requirements, architecture, prototype integration, validation, and production readiness
- Knowledge of power distribution, automotive compute, ECUs, sensors, vehicle networks, harnesses, connectors, and PCBAs
- Knowledge of EMC, EMI, signal integrity, power integrity, grounding, shielding, verification, and validation
- Hands-on debugging, bring-up, and root-cause analysis experience
- Experience with schematics, wiring diagrams, interface control documents, requirements, and diagnostic tools
- Experience with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, upfitters, contract manufacturers, or integration partners
- Knowledge of engineering change management, configuration management, and release processes
- Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, requirements management, and design reviews
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical architecture, mechanical design, and vehicle integration across development platforms
- Own integration from architecture and requirements through prototype builds, validation, production readiness, and deployment
- Integrate compute, perception sensors, power systems, ECUs, networks, harnesses, connectors, and electronic hardware
- Define system requirements, interfaces, architectures, and integration strategies
- Lead design reviews and technical trade-offs
- Drive vehicle bring-up, commissioning, validation, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis
- Develop verification and validation strategies
- Identify technical risks and drive mitigation plans
- Coordinate with safety teams, OEMs, suppliers, manufacturers, and integration partners
- Support component selection, production readiness, engineering changes, and vehicle builds
- Improve electrical engineering standards, documentation, and integration processes
- Mentor electrical engineers and provide technical guidance
