About the Role
You will lead end-to-end commercial contracting across customer, partner, and supplier agreements. You will draft and negotiate contracts, establish templates and playbooks, implement contract-management and AI review tools, advise on intellectual property and regulatory obligations, manage disputes and outside counsel, and develop the contracts team.
Requirements
- 10+ years of post-qualification experience
- Qualification as a solicitor in England and Wales or equivalent with a current practising certificate
- 5+ years in highly regulated or safety-critical sectors
- 5+ years of in-house experience
- 5+ years of people management experience
- Supply chain contract experience
- Technology partnership experience
- Revenue share arrangement experience
- Intellectual property experience
- Dispute resolution experience
- Contract management system proficiency
- AI contract review tool proficiency
- Senior stakeholder management
- Commercial contract drafting and negotiation
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end commercial contracting across customer, partner, and supplier agreements
- Draft, negotiate, and close commercial agreements
- Partner with GTM and supply chain functions on deal structuring and execution
- Negotiate supply chain, manufacturing, and technology partnership agreements
- Build contracting templates, playbooks, guidelines, delegation processes, and escalation paths
- Select and implement CLM and AI-assisted contract review tools
- Advise on intellectual property ownership, licensing, and confidentiality
- Manage commercial disputes and pre-litigation matters
- Ensure commercial terms reflect regulatory obligations
- Instruct and manage outside counsel
- Build, manage, and develop the contracts team
- Advise senior stakeholders across sales, supply chain, finance, and executive leadership
