About the Role

You will lead infrastructure matters from term sheet through delivery and closeout for EMEA data-centre campuses. You will negotiate construction, supply, real-estate, and power agreements, manage outside counsel, and advise stakeholders on legal and commercial risk.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of construction and infrastructure legal experience
  • Qualification as a solicitor or barrister in England and Wales or another relevant EMEA jurisdiction
  • Experience negotiating major construction, EPC/EPCM, design-and-build, professional-services, and equipment-supply agreements
  • Experience working across multiple EMEA jurisdictions and managing local counsel
  • Knowledge of construction risk allocation, delay remedies, warranties, insurance, liability caps, and dispute resolution
  • Ability to negotiate multiple high-value contracts and explain risk to senior non-legal stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Lead negotiations for owner-contractor, EPC, EPCM, and design-and-build agreements
  • Draft and negotiate design and consultancy agreements
  • Negotiate supply, installation, and O&M agreements for power and critical equipment
  • Support site acquisition, development arrangements, ground leases, and power arrangements
  • Maintain infrastructure contract templates and playbooks
  • Manage counterparty negotiations and consistent contract positions
  • Manage contracts through delivery and closeout
  • Coordinate insurance, bonding, and lender requirements
  • Manage EMEA outside counsel
  • Partner with construction, procurement, finance, real estate, energy, and operations stakeholders
